Flood Survey Launched

The Met Office has now announced that this April was the wettest since their records began in 1910 and there are forecasts of more rain on the way.  We have had reports coming in of significant disruptions to travel due to the weather, including the temporary closure of the main London to Cardiff rail line on Monday.  In addition to this, numerous events across the country have been cancelled including Badminton Horse Trials,  the Sealed Knots ‘Grand Muster’ at Wentworth Castle and a birthday canoe trip on the River Thames!

In order to find out more about how the rain and floods have affected people travel plans (either directly or indirectly) the Disruption project has launched a Flood Survey https://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/uwe/flood to allow people to report their experiences of the wet and how they dealt with it.

If your plans have been in anyway affected by the weather in the last month (or coming weeks), please fill in the survey and let us know.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr Tim Chatterton at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
